General Hospital Star Ted King Joins The Cast of New Soap Opera The Gates

General Hospital - Ted King

For over a year now, fans have been hoping that General Hospital would find a way to bring back Ted King as Lorenzo Alcazar to the soap. Perhaps, in a twist that reveals him as the real head of Pikeman. Well, now the soap vet has teased that he sure might be making a comeback!

Although, it might not be exactly what fans were hoping for. But something huge none the less! So, whether or not Ted King returns as Lorenzo to General Hospital is anybody’s guess at this point. However, chances are that he may soon appear in a rival soap on CBS! And no, we are not talking about The Bold and The beautiful, where he has played Jack Finnegan.

GH/ Ted King as Lorenzo

As we have reported earlier, CBS is all set to roll out an all new soap opera named – The Gates. It is set to premiere in January, 2025. A soap weaved around a wealthy black family living in a gated community, thus, the name! The soap is being headed by Michele Val Jean. Who formerly worked on B&B and General Hospital.

Now, what has she got to do with Ted King’s soap comeback? Well, here’s the thing! recently, she took to her X account to share a post, “Today was a good day.” Soon after, Ted King replied to her post saying , “Yes it was.” Thus, implying that the General Hospital formers are working together!

With Michele leading the pack of The Gates, how hard is it to guess that Ted has been roped in to play a character on the show! Not too hard we reckon! Honestly, we are thrilled with the possibility. Ted King is a phenomenal actor and will prove to be a huge asset to the brand new soap!

However, we do hope that General Hospital too finds a way to weave him back into the story as Lorenzo! Would you like that? Tell us in the comments. Meanwhile, stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more General Hospital updates and spoilers!
