The couple decided to continue with the high-risk pregnancy, even though Chanel was exposed to radiation. Her mother, Paulina Price (Jackee Harry), felt she needed to rescue her daughter from a snowstorm after she received the radioactive iodine treatment for her thyroid cancer.

Of course, Chanel and Johnny have mixed feelings about Paulina. In fact, the Days of our Lives Mother’s Day episodes show Chanel Dupree ordering her mama to leave the fancy mansion after she brought all the fixings for a homemade meal. Johnny DiMera supported his wife’s decision.
