The Young and the Restless spoilers show that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) haven’t been together now for a while, and honestly, it’s been kind of nice.

The inseparable pair have always been a little annoying, so a lot of fans let out a long exhale when they were finally torn apart.

Kyle has been playing the field and spending a lot of time with Claire Grace (Hayley Erin), while Summer has been doing everything she can to still be Harrison’s mom, which has viewers divided about whether or not she should actually have as many rights over him as she does.

It’s their bond over Harrison that sees them spending time together again, laughing over pictures, and Kyle trying to convince Summer that having Claire as a nanny is a good idea.

Of course, Summer dreads the fact that Claire gets to spend so much time with Harrison, but then again, who is Summer to Harrison anyway? It’s kind of a strange battle for Summer to keep fighting to see Harrison.

At any rate, this is the point of the story we’re at and we have to wonder if all this time together bonding over Harrison is bringing these two back together.

The way they’ve been laughing and smiling at each other has some fans thinking that we’re going to be recycling their love story for yet another boring storyline.

Y&R Spoilers – Claire Grace Gets In The Middle Of Kyle Abbott And Summer Newman

Of course, even if Kyle and Summer do start entertaining some of their feelings, there’s still Claire in the background. We know how Kyle is when she is around and the connection that they have.

Finally, we were getting a different relationship with a new character, but it definitely feels like the show wants Summer and Kyle back together.

Hopefully, this means that Claire can be the dividing factor yet again and break up whatever kind of relationship rekindling that Kyle and Summer may have going on.

Whatever they do, we hope that we don’t have to go through many more months of Kyle debating on whether or not to go back to Summer.
