Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest after Thursday, May 30, fans can sense where the storyline with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is heading. During his visit to Genoa City (and after some talks with Ashley), Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) deduced that she was suffering from dissociative identity disorder (DID) from some sort of trauma.

He also figured out the condition likely surfaced after the incident between Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and Ashley at the café.

It was during Thursday’s show that Tucker ran into who he thought was Alan when the man didn’t recognize him. All arrows are pointing to an “evil twin brother” angle here, but could there be more?

Y&R Spoilers: The Preview Video Next Week

Y&R spoilers note that the soap’s preview video for the week of June 3 was released, and it seemed like quite the doozy.

There’s a clip between Alan, Ashley, and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), where Ashley seems to remember the trauma, she had while in Paris.

She’s shocked by it all, and it seems as if she spent the night with Alan; however, while Laurent believes the story she’s told, he informs her that it was likely his brother.

Does Alan have an “evil twin brother” who poses as him, or could there be a massive plot twist on the horizon?

An evil twin brother is enough of a plot twist; however, hasn’t the evil twin brother thing been overdone in the land of soaps?

Also, doesn’t it seem fishy that Alan invited Ashley back to Paris for therapy? Thank goodness Traci went too, but couldn’t her trauma have been triggered with therapy back in Genoa City? Wouldn’t it be detrimental to her healing for her to go back to the scene of things?

Does Alan have a twin, or could his “evil twin” be an alter ego he has? Ashley was able to hide her alters well. In fact, “Belle” intentionally changed her accent so as not to be detected.

While Alan claims he was in Florence during Ashley and Tucker’s honeymoon, is this all a ploy to hide his DID? Plus, if Alan does have DID … are Ashley and Traci in danger?
