Currently, on Y&R, Chelsea Lawson and her ex-husband, Adam Newman, are putting their drama behind them for the sake of their son, Connor Newman. No doubt, they have a volatile and dramatic history. They’ve hurt each other before and done things they now regret.

For a long time, it was hard for them to get along and coexist as parents, recall Young and the Restless recaps. However, a family crisis is forcing them to stop thinking about themselves and come together to help Conner. And they’re growing much closer in the process.

Adam & Chelsea Get Closer on Y&R

Currently, on Young and the Restless, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is in a very different place with her ex, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Back in the day, they inflicted a lot of pain on each other and wanted revenge on one another.

Also, when it came to parenting Conner Newman (Judah Mackey), they were always butting heads and never saw eye-to-eye. Now, things are much different. Connor is really struggling with his OCD and right now things are getting worse for him.

Indeed, they both blame themselves but something has shifted with them as parents on Young and the Restless. They are on the same page when it comes to Connor and they are supporting each other instead of tearing each other down.

They’re both trying to convince the other that Connor’s mental health struggles are not their fault. Indeed, this is a huge step for them. And Connor’s battle with his mental health might be setting the stage for a reunion for them.

Adam and Chelsea are getting a lot closer lately and pretty soon they may become more than co-parents. Yes, they were volatile together before but they are completely different people now. And they are rebonding over their son’s mental health struggles.

Of course, they are both currently in relationships. Adam is with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Chelsea is with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). But that means nothing on the soap. Surely, they wouldn’t want to hurt Sally or Billy on Young and the Restless.

But, they might want a second chance at a healthy relationship and to give Connor the family he deserves. Furthermore, they might think that if they get back together, that could help Connor. They could tackle his OCD together as a family.

No doubt Sally and Billy would understand and with both of their exes single they would have someone to fall back on. Sally’s ex-boyfriend, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), is still available. And Billy’s ex-girlfriend Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), is newly single and nursing a broken heart.
