General Hospital Comings & Goings: Gregory Chase Wraps it Up

GH comings and goings sadly report Gregory Chase’s time on the sudser is officially over. Fans have known for quite some time now that he would pass away sooner rather than later due to his ALS. The disease takes away a person’s ability to function little by little until they can no longer function at all.

So, viewers likely thought Gregory would have more time. Also, many were hoping for a misdiagnosis so the Gregory could get a cure and stick around. Sadly, that wasn’t the case and he passed away in his sleep due to heart failure the night of his son Harrison Chase’s wedding.

Now, his sons are left reeling as they try to figure out how to go on with their lives without their dad. Soon, the entire town of Port Charles will pay tribute to Gregory but there may also be a lot of drama ahead.

GH Casting Updates: Heartbreaking Funeral Ahead

Coming up, on General Hospital, there will be funeral services for Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison). Indeed, it will be heart-wrenching. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) is trying to guide his daughter, Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) through this terrible loss.

And his brother, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), is a mess as is his new wife, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). They postponed their honeymoon to Florence, Italy so they could be home with their families and attend the services.

Of course, Brook Lynn’s grandmother, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), is going to be destroyed. She cares deeply for Gregory and it was clear that she was developing feelings for him. No doubt, his loss will profoundly affect her on General Hospital.

Then, there’s Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) who’s away in Albany. She’s still unaware of Gregory’s passing and she’ll be heartbroken. Indeed, the funeral will be emotional. However, there could be a bit of drama also.

Finn is in a bad place and only getting worse. He’s already started lashing out at those closest to him — namely, his girlfriend, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). And he could very well be at the start of an addiction-fueled breakdown.

What Will Gregory’s Passing Mean for Finn on General Hospital?

GH updates see Finn utterly devastated by his father’s passing and he’s handling his grief in a dangerous way. He’s already been struggling with his sobriety lately. Then he became more vulnerable after accidentally taking a drink at the “ChaLynn” wedding.

But after he discovered that his father had died, he intentionally took a drink and it doesn’t look like he intends to stop anytime soon. He’s hurt and angry and he’s not listening to Elizabeth. Indeed, he’s acting extremely out of character on General Hospital.
