It’s been a little while since Jerry Jacks has been back to General Hospital to stir up trouble. Granted, that’s about the last thing Port Charles needs right now with Cyrus running around, Jason just days away from returning and someone gunning for Sonny. (To make matters worse, all three of those may be connected!) So adding an uber villain to the mix right now would not bode well for the folks of Port Charles!

Plus, we’re not entirely sure when Sebastian Roché would fit it in, seeing as how he’s pretty busy playing Father Renaud over on Paramount+’s Yellowstone spinoff 1923. And now, our sister site Deadline has revealed, he’ll also be starring in the new Korean drama, Netflix’s Queen of Tears!

Well that certainly sounds bleak! Don’t worry, though, it isn’t quite as dark as it sounds, as the official description for the K-Drama states, “The queen of department stores and the prince of supermarkets weather a marital crisis —until love miraculously begins to bloom again”

Roché took to Instagram to share the news, writing in both Korean and English that, “대박!!! This was such a fun project for me. Thank you, Studio Dragon, Netflix Korea and Netflix, 정말 영광이었습니다!” (Translated to: “Awesome!!!This was such a fun project for me. Thank you, Studio Dragon, Netflix Korea and Netflix, it was an honor!”

If you flip through the post, Roche shares a few behind-the-scenes videos and photos from Queen of Tears, including some with wife (and current Kobra Kai villain) Alicia Hannah-Kim. Thankfully, it doesn’t look like any tears are being shed with this happy couple! The ones in the new Netflix series, however…

Well, take a look for yourself in the trailer below.

OK, that tagline: “The wedding of the century… or the war of the century?” We’re sold!

Even better, it looks like Sebastian Roche will be dusting off his TV medical license to play Dr. Braun. There’s not a lot of info out there just yet, other than the fact that he’ll have, per Deadline, “an interesting relationship with the two leads.” But when you’re dealing with a husband and wife in crisis, there’s a probably good chance he’ll be more of the therapy type of doctor than an MD. Either way, though, we can’t wait to find out more!

What are your thoughts? Excited to check out Queen of Tears when it debuts on March 9?
