Bold & Beautiful has cast a new character with a very familiar name, and who has a real-life connection to one of the soap’s front-burner stars — Sean Kanan!

As viewers know, Deacon’s grieving for Sheila morphed into something entirely different after he saw “ten toes” in the crematorium. Suddenly, his gut — and his eyes! — were telling him that his late lady love was not really most sincerely dead after all.

Unable to convince Sheila’s son Finn that his “birth mother” may still be walking the earth thanks to his wife Steffy being the one who stabbed her to death in their living room, Deacon set about snooping in Sheila’s phone messages. But things only got murkier for the reformed-con-turned-restaurateur when he uncovered a contentuous, confusing conversation between her and a person named Sugar.

Genoa City resident and Sheila survivor, Lauren Fenmore, gave Deacon a huge piece of the puzzle when she explained that Sugar was one of the psychopath’s former sidekicks, who Sheila tricked into having plastic surgery to look exactly like her!

Now, a determined Deacon is hellbent on tracking down Sheila, convinced that she’s not only alive, but possibly in trouble at the hands of Sugar, who was obviously the person who died.

So, how does this new mystery woman fit into the story?

In a nutshell, we don’t know yet. In fact, we don’t even know if she fits into this storyline at all. What we do know is that the young woman who plays her is none other than Kanan’s stepdaughter, Juliet Vega.

We also know the character’s name, which may sound very familiar given that it’s Kanan’s wife and Juliet’s mother’s name — Michele.

As many fans are aware, Kanan married Michele Vega in 2012 and became a stepfather to her four children, Peter, Gigi, and twins Annie and Juliet. Kanan also has an older daughter, Simone, from his past relationship with former Bold & Beautiful co-star, Gladys Jiminez.

There’s no indication whether or not Michele will be an ongoing character on the soap, or is just popping in, or what storyline she’ll be involved in. She could be someone Deacon talks to as he tries to solve Sheila’s disappearance, or she might be a model or intern — perhaps a confidante for Luna — as the drama unfolds at at Forrester Creations. You’ll have to tune in on Friday, April 26 to find out!
