Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will continue to be at odds with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) when it comes to co-parenting Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

The child’s obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) diagnosis has flipped the family’s life upside down, and while his two parents are trying to be as supportive as they can, they can’t see eye to eye on things, mainly when it comes to Connor’s treatment.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers- Adam Newman Can’t Shake The Bad Thoughts

Y&R spoilers note that when Adam first returned to Genoa City from dropping Connor off at the facility in Maryland, he couldn’t shake the bad feelings he had about the treatment center.

Even Chelsea was shaken up a bit when the doctors told the parents to leave, rather than helping Connor settle into his new surroundings as originally intended. It was hard for her to process the idea that she and Adam could be triggering her son’s OCD.

Still, Adam commented to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) about the facility possibly being a scam, where they continually feed Connor with negative ideas to keep him in there and keep the money coming for treatments. Could he be right?

The Y&R has done a stellar job in addressing Connor’s OCD and the family’s journey. It’s been an important storyline to present and increase awareness around mental health issues in children.

Still, soap operas have a flare for the dramatic, where stories can become over-the-top. Sadly, most daytime dramas that include mental health facilities with arcs tend to spotlight the “worst case scenario” where practitioners take advantage of their position.

Could Connor’s Maryland treatment center be shady? Could they feed into Connor’s OCD or are they truly looking to help the young boy?

Could the facility be okay, but he ends up having a sketchy doctor? Maybe someone from either Chelsea or Adam’s past looking for revenge? The opportunities are endless!
