Days of Our Lives star Diedre Hall recently appeared on The Locher Room for a chat. Amid some fun conversations, the iconic actress spilled some delicious tea about a former star’s unexpected return to the fold! She mentioned that actress Gloria Loring is resuming her former character Liz Chandler.

For the unversed, Gloria played Liz on Days of Our Lives between 1980 to 1986. On paper it may appear as a short stretch on soap that has been around for several decades. However, let us assure you that those 6 years of stay had a huge impact on the soap in the yesteryears.

Some of her most revered storylines were woven around her romances with Don Craig and Neil Curtis. She was also married to Tony DiMera, thus, tying her to the DiMera household. Liz also shared an intense storyline with Stefano, when he forced her to spy on Doug.

Aah the good old vintage days! It will be so good and refreshing to see Gloria step back into her iconic role. As of now, not many details are out on what her storyline will be about. But, considering that some special episodes will soon air to give homage to late Bill Hayes’s character, Doug Williams, we can expect the two to be tied!

Previously, news broke that actor Stephen Schnetzer is also returning to Days of Our Lives as Steve Olsen. Viewers may recall that he portrayed Julie’s brother. He will be returning to Salem as part of Bill Hayes/ Doug’s honorary episodes. Perhaps, to support his sister in the heartbreaking times.
