Actress Lauralee Bell recently sat down with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) to chat about everything in Cricket’s world, including negative fan reaction to her recent love triangle storyline!

Y&R spoilers reveal that Cricket and Red have been at each other’s throats for decades now, but the beauty of this all is, that Lauralee and Michelle are quite close in real life.

It was brought up during the interview that while their onscreen rivalry has always lingered it truly elevated when Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) re-entered the picture, recently.

Lauralee notes that the bantering between Phyllis and Christine has been so fun, and both she and Michelle got “super excited” before filming scenes.

When asked about “The Bug” nickname that Phyllis calls Cricket, Lauralee exclaimed that she thinks it’s “hysterical”, and when Red makes comments like “The Bug can be so boring”, she laughs and really can’t disagree on some aspects.

SOD dove into the negative reaction from some fans online when it came to the revamped Cricket/Red/Rockstar love triangle.

Some viewers believed that both ladies were at an age where they shouldn’t have been fighting for a man the way they did.

Lauralee states that she “almost always” agrees with fans, but she’s also not a fan of negativity and unless comments are “on her page”, she doesn’t look at them, because it’s healthier for her to do so.

She adds that some of her co-stars do look at negative online comments, and she sees how sad they can get. While she understands how passionate viewers can be over a show, which is a good thing, some take things to a “nasty” level.

She notes that at the end of the day, it’s entertainment, and the scenes between her, Michael, and Michelle were fun to play, and they had a great time re-igniting the old dynamics of these characters.
