Not so long ago, we found ourselves wondering if anyone had told The Young and the Restless‘ Lauren about her longtime nemesis biting the bullet — er, knife — yet again. Despite the fact that Lauren is close to the Forrester family, there’s been a distinct lack of continuity between the two shows where Sheila’s story is concerned.

But next week,, the question of what Lauren does and does not know will be answered once and for all: A preview airing at the end of the episode which aired on Friday, March 29, revealed that next week, Lauren’s portrayer, Tracey E. Bregman, hops soaps in order for her alter ego to attend a memorial service for Sheila. Why would she do so? Heck, if nothing else, she might want to pinch the corpse to make sure there’s no reaction, given how often Sheila’s faked her own demise!

In fact, we’re kinda hoping that someone takes a peek at Sheila’s feet, because we have a sneaking suspicion that the person being mourned might have all their toes. Why would that matter? Because you might recall that a while back, the insaniac snipped off one of her own toes as a way of convincing the world she’d been eaten by a bear!

No word on how long Lauren will stick around Los Angeles, but we know she’ll find time to raise a toast to Sheila’s demise with Eric. Longtime viewers will recall that when Lauren relocated from Genoa City to L.A. back in 1995, she and Eric got involved with one another — which did not particularly thrill her friend, and his favorite wife, Stephanie!

Not too long ago, Lauren swung by Forrester in order to check out the fashion showdown between Eric and Ridge. That time, she was accompanied by Esther, who snagged both a Forrester Original gown and the eye of the company’s security guard, Charlie. No word on if Esther might once again join Lauren (although we bet Charlie would love to see her again!)
