We all know that General Hospital‘s Maurice Benard (Sonny) is a man of many talents. Actor, author and podcaster, there’s not a whole lot he can’t do. And anyone who follows him on social media knows he’s pretty darn funny too! But he’s also a darn good dancer. That’s not really a surprise, of course, but it’s still always a delight to see him break it down.

But we’ll admit that we were a bit surprised to see Chad Duell (Michael) hold his own with his TV dad as they shared a salsa to “I Like It Like That” back in General Hospital‘s wardrobe room! (Where else, of course?)

What brought the performance on? “Sometimes you just feel like dancing,” Benard wrote. “You don’t care who it is. In this case, I love this guy.” Same!

The reaction from costars in the comments ranged from Lydia Look (Selina) giving emoji hearts and Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix) saying they “dance divinely,” to Jon Lindstrom (Kevin) sending some good natured ribbing the actors’ way. “You know,” he wrote, “you can’t unsee that…”

Benard, of course, wasn’t going to just let that go and warned his costar that he was next. “Ha,” Lindstrom chuckled, “in your dreams.”

Well, so long as we can still dream! Honestly, though, we doubt Sonny’s portrayer is the only one who’d love to see him dance with more costars. Because as el_e_na_222 put it in the comments, “This is what your fans wait for! Sure, we love GH, but seeing you enjoy yourselves is quite heartwarming! Maurice, you’ve got moves!”

That he very much does. Hey, maybe he can start giving dancing classes on the side. Do we see a brand new career path for Sonny?
