General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may be making a huge mistake by letting Ava Jerome (Maura West) gain his trust. Ava seems to be working some sort of angle – one that goes beyond the sparks that have been flying with Sonny lately.

In those scenes at Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) warehouse, it almost seemed like Ava and John Cates (Adam Harrington) were toying with each other – like they might have a secret they were keeping between them.

That makes a lot more sense now that we know John blackmailed Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) into taking a mercenary job as part of his anti-mob mission.

John is weaving quite the tangled web, so could Ava be tangled up in it, too?

After all, GH writers never revealed who was sending Ava threatening messages.

It may have been John’s attempt to apply pressure and get Ava’s help with Sonny’s takedown.

It may be a reluctant partnership as far as Ava’s concerned, but it’s a partnership nonetheless if she’s indeed in cahoots with John.

Sonny may have a new “Judas” on his hands – and she’s living right under his roof!

Of course, John didn’t seem too happy about Ava being at the warehouse with Sonny that night, so maybe he feared Ava was trying to double-cross him.

Ava isn’t a heartless monster, so she wouldn’t just throw Avery Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scarola) father to the wolves unnecessarily.

Perhaps Ava is doing her best to manage the situation and keep Sonny alive.

That said, Ava seemed a little too eager to declare Jason guilty once the proof from the footage surfaced.

It was like Ava was working overtime to plant doubts and get Sonny to believe his close friend had turned against him.

That felt like something John would’ve wanted Ava to do, so she may still be following orders as part of a forced collaboration.

Bottom line, Ava has been acting fishy for a while now – and given what fans have just learned about John and Jason, it makes sense that he’s forced Ava to help him as well.
