The Young and the Restless Thursday, June 27 Recap: Fired Kyle Surrenders to Audra Partnership, Strikes Victor Deal

The Young and the Restless (Y&RR) spoilers recap for Thursday, June 27, reveals that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will give Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) video call updates on Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) setback. Chelsea will also share how she’s extending her trip with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to stay close by.

Billy will offer to come support Chelsea, but she’ll act like that’s not necessary and will continue bonding with Adam after she hangs up.

Adam will wonder if it’s really a good idea to stay in that hotel suite and go stir crazy, especially since it could be a couple weeks before they see Connor again.

Chelsea will still think it’s best to stick around, but she’ll suggest Adam could always leave and come back. Adam will praise Chelsea’s devotion to Connor and will assure Chelsea that if she’s staying, then he is too.

At Society on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will fish for answers about Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) anonymous investor, but Audra will stay tight-lipped since that was part of their deal.

Although Audra will gloat about defeating Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John), she’ll act like she knows better than to trust anyone again.

That’s why it’ll surprise Audra how much Sally trusts Adam, who’s spending an awful lot of time in a hotel suite with his ex right now.

However, Sally will act like Chelsea and Adam were over a long time ago.

Besides, Adam and Chelsea have been totally focused on Connor, so Sally will act like there’s no reason to worry at all.

Billy will spot Audra parting ways with Sally, so he’ll warn Sally to be careful when it comes to her.

Sally will also take a moment to get to know Billy a bit better since they’re both on “Team Connor.”

Billy will try to imagine how he’d feel if one of his own children were in Connor’s shoes.

When Billy mentions Sally not having kids yet, he’ll realize that was insensitive and apologize.

Sally will assure Billy that it’s fine since she understood what he meant and knows he went through losing a child of his own.

While Billy and Sally bond, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will show up at work and reel when Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) hands him a termination notice.

Although Diane wasn’t able to reach Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to inform him of this step, she’ll act like Kyle has left her no choice.

Jack will get off the jet and arrive at Jabot to find a major argument in progress.

Once Jack learns Diane has given Kyle a pink slip, he’ll try to play referee in his office.

Kyle will act like Diane just wants rid of him because his very presence shines a spotlight on her inadequacies.

Diane will disagree and run down the list of all the times Kyle has undermined he authority, including a new deal that he finalized while she was working out a better one.

Furthermore, Kyle told the other CEO to deal directly with him and bypass her, so the guy will no longer be taking Diane’s calls.

Jack will get upset over Kyle damaging Diane’s credibility as well as Jack’s and Jabot’s. Although Kyle will deny doing that, Jack will think Kyle made it look like he just handed his incompetent wife a job.

In reality, Diane’s work has been exemplary, so Jack will start to see Diane’s point.

That said, Jack will think firing Kyle is extreme and will hope to work something else out.

Despite wanting to stay out of this before, Jack will see that he should’ve intervened.

Unfortunately, Kyle won’t think there’s any hope of a solution now, so he’ll shove the termination notice in Jack’s hands and insist he’s gone.

Afterward, Diane will hope that Jack doesn’t blame her. Although Jack won’t, he’ll still hate that all the drama escalated to this level.

Diane will wind up crying in Jack’s arms since she fought so hard for a relationship with Kyle and truly didn’t want this to happen.

In the end, Diane will hope Kyle can continue the Abbott family legacy there in time, but she’ll think letting Kyle go was the right decision for now.

Back with Kyle, he’ll text Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to ask if he’s ready to negotiate.

It won’t be long until Kyle meets with Victor at the GCAC, where he’ll admit he’s officially left Jabot.

Victor will seem suspicious about why Kyle left so abruptly, but Kyle will act like the decision’s been in the works for a while.

When Victor asks if Kyle’s ready to be a serious competitor against Jabot, Kyle will insist he’s prepared to give them a run for their money.

Victor will note that there’s one caveat since cutting Audra out of the deal isn’t an option. If Kyle can’t work with Audra, then he can’t have the job.

Kyle will ultimately relent and accept that he’ll be co-CEOs with Audra, so Victor will warn that they need to work together – not compete with each other.

Victor will look forward to seeing his new dream team in action and will urge Kyle to contact Audra with the news.

Kyle will text Audra to let her know he accepted the position, so she’ll text him back and call him “partner.”

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Audra and Kyle’s co-CEO status is bound to come with some challenges, so stick with us for more predictions on all the conflict and chaos.
