The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire) has a fun storyline coming up this summer, but the show’s keeping a tight lid on the details for now. There’s something in the works that’s definitely going to get fans’ attention and bring out some strong opinions, so that gives us an opportunity to do some speculating.

For starters, we should point out that Chelsea has been reconnecting with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) lately.

Adam and Chelsea have really banded together as a team for Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), so that’s been lovely to see.

However, all that bonding could lead to bad news for Adam’s relationship with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).

There’s a moment happening in the June 17 episode that could set the tone for the storyline to come.

In that episode, Chelsea takes Adam’s hand and smiles at him during a moment of celebrating Connor’s progress.

After a close-up of their hands joining, Adam looks thoughtful and ultimately smiles back at Chelsea.

Is there a reason why Y&R’s choosing to focus on this hand-holding between the exes?

It could be a sign that Chelsea and Adam will reunite – or at least a sign that Chelsea will end up wanting to!

Even if Adam tries to stay loyal to Sally, he could face some temptation down the road.

That’s especially true if the fun story that’s brewing for Chelsea involves a return to her scheming roots.

After all the emotional challenges Chelsea’s faced in recent years, it might be nice to have a lighter story where she’s plotting to win back her lost love.

That could open the door to another round of feuding between Chelsea and Sally.

Chelsea and Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) breakup may be on the horizon, so that could also pave the way for her to fixate on Adam and the possibility of getting back together.

It’s easy to imagine Chelsea thinking that once Connor eventually comes home, they should all be a happy family again.

Chelsea might make it her mission to steal Adam away from Sally and officially get “Chadam” back on track!

Our predictions hint that Chelsea could have a few tricks up her sleeve, so that could involve some love life updates and the revival of her old scheming tendencies.
